Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026 – 400 Posts (Telecommunication Wing)

Post: Special Police Officer (SPO)
Total Vacancies: 400
Engagement: Under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007
Job Tenure: 1 year or until regular appointments are made, whichever is earlier.
ELIGIBILITY / QUALIFICATION
• Minimum educational qualification: 10+2 from a recognized board.
• Age: 25 to 50 years as on the date of advertisement.
• Recruitment is NOT open to all 10+2 candidates.
• Eligible applicants are ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and ex-Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF)/Haryana Armed Police (HAP) Battalions.
• Armed Forces/CAPF candidates must have at least 5 years of service.
• Candidates removed/dismissed from Armed Forces/CAPFs for indiscipline, misconduct or medical unfitness are not eligible.
• Medical category at discharge should be 'A'.
• Character certificate at discharge should be 'Exemplary/Outstanding'.
• Preference will be given to candidates experienced in handling telecommunication equipment, particularly Signal Corps personnel.
APPLICATION FEE
• No application fee is specified in the official Haryana Police notification. Candidates should rely on the official notice and should not pay any unofficial fee.
SALARY / BENEFITS
• Monthly honorarium: ₹20,000, paid into the SPO's bank account.
• One-time uniform allowance: ₹3,000 for two uniform sets, one pair of shoes and required uniform articles.
• Official-tour TA/DA: ₹150 per day.
• Casual leave: As applicable to Haryana Police Constables.
• Ex-gratia: ₹10 lakh in case of death in action while performing duty with bravery/extraordinary courage; ₹1–3 lakh for permanent disability; up to ₹1 lakh for grave injury.
• Natural death ex-gratia: ₹3 lakh to the family, subject to the stated terms.
SELECTION PROCESS
• No written examination.
• No physical test.
• Candidates must appear in person for document submission/interview.
• Before appointment: medical examination, character/antecedent verification and verification of qualification, age, caste/category and other claimed certificates.
• Selected candidates undergo a 15-day capsule course.

• Reporting starts from 9:00 AM at Police Lines Telecommunication, Opposite Sector-25, Near Village Moginand, Panchkula, Haryana.
• 24 Aug 2026: Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal.
• 25 Aug 2026: Sonepat, Panipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri.
• 26 Aug 2026: Gurugram, Faridabad, Mewat (Nuh), Palwal, Rewari, Narnaul.
• 27 Aug 2026: Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Hansi, Jind, Dabwali.
• No application is accepted after the prescribed date for the candidate's district.
• No TA/DA is payable for appearing for document submission/interview.

• Duly filled prescribed application form.
• All relevant original documents.
• One set of attested photocopies of relevant documents.
• Required affidavit(s) and other prescribed documents.
• 4 passport-size colour photographs.
• Aadhaar photocopy.
• PAN photocopy.
• Bank passbook photocopy.
• Service/discharge documents and certificates supporting eligibility.
• Qualification, age, category/caste and other certificates claimed in the form.
IMPORTANT CONDITIONS
• Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
• SPOs will not be posted at their home police station; preference may be given to the home district subject to availability.
• SPOs can be deployed anywhere in Haryana during emergencies for short periods.
• Services can be terminated for indiscipline, misconduct, unsatisfactory duty performance or non-requirement as provided in the official terms.
