ONGC Director (Technology & Field Services) Recruitment 2026
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a Schedule ‘A’ Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has invited online applications for the post of Director (Technology & Field Services) through the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).

Post and Pay Scale

- Pay scale: ₹1,80,000–₹3,40,000 (IDA)
- Appointment period: Five years from joining, up to superannuation, or until further orders—whichever is earlier.
Qualification
The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate with a good academic record from a recognized university or institution. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA, PGDM or postgraduate engineering qualification.
Experience
At least five years of cumulative experience during the last ten years in core drilling operations, rig maintenance, project conception (engineering services), or project execution (engineering services) in the hydrocarbon sector.
Age and Employment Conditions
- Minimum age: 45 years.
- Internal applicants must have at least two years of residual service on the date of vacancy.
- Other applicants must have at least three years of residual service on the date of vacancy.
- The applicant must be employed in a regular capacity in an eligible CPSE, government service, public-sector bank/financial institution, autonomous body, qualifying SPSE, private company, joint venture or federation, subject to the detailed notification.
Job Responsibilities
The Director will oversee drilling operations and technical support for the design, engineering, construction, repair and maintenance of offshore and onshore equipment, installations, pipelines and plants. The role also covers performance management, resource deployment, technology adoption, in-house R&D and technical collaborations.
