SSC is conducting the Junior Engineer Examination 2026 for Junior Engineer posts and Scientific Assistant posts in the India Meteorological Department. The notice reports 1,748 tentative combined vacancies. The separate IMD Scientific Assistant count has not yet been published.
🎓 Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics as one subject; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electronics/ECE, Instrumentation, IT, Telecommunication or Communication Engineering.
Qualification must be completed by 22 September 2026.
