Haryana’s Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department fixed a maximum sugar stock limit of 4,000 quintals for a dealer or trader. A dealer may also not retain received stock for more than 30 days. The restrictions took effect on 1 August 2026 and will remain applicable until 30 November 2026. Designated dealers distributing sugar through ration depots under the Public Distribution System and government stocks are exempt.
