Recruitment Overview • First NCA notification, Category Number 143/2026. • Eligibility restriction: male candidates from the SCCC community only; female and differently abled candidates are not eligible under this notice. Vacancy Breakup • One SCCC vacancy in Prisons and Correctional Services. Educational Qualification • Pass in SSLC or equivalent. • Minimum height 165 cm and chest 81.3 cm with 5 cm expansion. • Prescribed unaided eyesight and medical fitness. • Qualify in any 5 of 8 notified physical-efficiency events. Age Limit • 18–43; eligible birth dates: 2 January 1983 to 1 January 2008, both inclusive. • Eligible SCCC adult converts and their children may apply up to age 45. • Other allowed concessions are subject to an overall maximum age of 50. Important Dates • Notification date / applications opened: 31 August 2026. • Last date and time: 7 October 2026, 12:00 midnight. • Exam/test date: To be announced in the Kerala PSC examination calendar and candidate profile. Selection Process • Physical measurement and physical efficiency test. • Written/OMR/online test if scheduled; examination confirmation required. • Document and medical verification. • In-service training and Kerala Jail Subordinate Officer's Test during probation.
